Polyglucosides (APG) 0814 is a kind of polyol non-ionic, environment-friendly,
biodegradable surfactant. It is non-toxic, mild to skin, because it is made
from renewable raw materials - glucose derived from corn, and fatty alcohols
from coconut and palm kernel oils.

hydroxyls on the saccharide base can be used to compose esters, ethers or other
derivate.
If Alkyl Polyglucosides
(APG) 0814 be connected with other carboxylic acid or other acids can be
produced to all kinds of anionic ester of APG, such as sulfosuccinate, citric
acid ester, tartaric acid ester, maleic acid ester, sulfate ester, phosphate
ester etc. The first three esters have very good foaming performance,
compatibility, mild to skin, no irritation to eyes, and don’t contain dioxane,
epoxyethane, nitrosamine etc., so it is quite suitable to produce cosmetics or
personal care products.
Besides, APG can
also synthesis alkoxy and quaternary ammonium salts cation etc.
Application:
Textile and dying
Alkyl
Polyglucosides (APG) 0814 can be used for cotton wrinkle resistance in textile
industry, it can also be used as powder dispersing agent and anti-rust agent of
the water solution. APG is suitable to be used for refining, dying process, the
solution isn’t easy to produce foam, can decrease dying spot, especially
suitable for high temperature refining flux, high temperature dispersing agent
and equalizing agent.

Polyglucosides (APG) 0814 is easily be dissolved in alkaline solution, it
compose even solution in the water solution which NaOH mass fraction is 10%, it
can retain high surface activity in high concentration solution of NaOH and
Na2SiO3. Short carbon chain APG dissolves in alkaline easier, it is suitable to
produce high alkaline liquid detergent. For example, high alkaline scouring
agent use 20% branched chain polyethenoxy ether adding 10% APG and 10% SLES,
its penetrating performance and detergency performance are good. In textile
dying industry, excessive scouring of spun silk to remove silk fibroin would
decrease the strength, gloss, softness of spun silk. APG can be added to avoid
excessive scouring.

textile additives some certain of viscosity, its thickening performance rival
alkanolamine, while it won’t produce nitrosamine (harmful matter) like
alkanolamine, which has been limited or forbidden to use.
C12-C14 APG
doesn’t need to add viscosity agent, it would not bring bad influence to foams,
and it doesn’t produce pollution. APG can substitute peregal as emulsifier in
ceresin wax.
